Family
I am married to a wonderful husband and a mother to three boys in grades 3, 4 and 6. As a busy parent, I know how hard it is to stay connected with what is going on in local government, but I also know how much our local decisions impact our families and children. I am running for Town Council to make sure that our government works for for and supports the needs of our children and families.
Police
Nineteen years ago a renovated police station was declared a critical need and yet it has still not been completed. It is time we stop kicking this can down the road and get this job done.
West Side Fire
In situations when seconds count, west side residents must wait an extra 5 minutes or more for emergency response to arrive. A west side Fire Station could save lives.
Recreation
The school system continues to bear the weight of the majority of our children’s sports and recreation needs. It is time the town steps up to improve and expand their recreation facilities to meet the increasing demand.
Communication
In a world without newspapers, busy parents struggle to keep up with what is happening in town, leaving the important decisions to be made by others. I hope to bridge that gap and work to keep families informed and engaged.
Transparency
For citizens to trust there government, there must be transparency. In campaigns as well as in operations, the public deserves to know what is going on.
Growth
Salem is growing, most notable in the Tuscan Village. While growth can be a good thing, it must be planned and be sustainable.
